This morning I wasn't feeling inspired in any way.  I wanted to lie in bed and watch the sun rise but knew I had to go to work.  I sort of threw this outfit together – in my head I saw it with a snakeskin skinny belt in the same color as the blouse but it looked far too matchy-matchy.  Leopard would have been good, but the shiny buckle was looking odd.  Neither orange or pink belts looked right.  I decided to go a bit crazy and get all blingy today – I rarely wear this much sparkle to the office, but it seemed as though this outfit needed… something.  And today that something is a pave belt buckle and rhinestone cuffs!

BTW, got these cuffs last year at Ann Taylor for $10 each.  They always have amazing deals on jewelry, and these I guess were found in the storeroom when prepping for February inventory.  They were originally closer to $150 each!

Anyone recognize this dress??? Yeah baby, it’s true what they say – nine months on, nine months off!  Granted, I am not exactly back to my pre-baby weight and the body is no where the same shape it was, but many of my pre-pregnancy clothes are fitting again!  I remember putting on this dress a…

  1. I don’t think they need to be with tights, on the Talbots site Ashley Falcon (she used to be Big Girl writer for Marie Claire and now works for Talbots) wears them with bare legs. Also think they look super cute peeking out from a pair of trousers or dark flared jeans. I plan to rock these shoes 3 seasons (think too heavy for summer but that’s me).

  2. I have to ask about the shoes.  I have been coveting them – tried them on more than once at Talbots, and was surprised at how comfortable they are.  And the price is right.  But I just truly wonder at how much wear I can get out of lace up, peep toe shoes/booties in suede.  You pretty much have to wear them with tights, right, though i suppose this past warm November would have been perfect.  I’ve just never been a fan of tights with open toes (especially not this open).  Any words of wisdom, or encouragement/discouragement?  Thanks!

  3. This outfit is so beautiful! I love this top on you–paired with the fitted skirt it’s just gorgeous. You are a sexy bombshell! I love your confidence. Such an inspiration.

  4. I hate when that happens: I lie in bed far too long, convincing myself that since I’m thinking about what to wear it is okay.  I get out of bed, satisfied with my choice… until I try it on, and somehow it just doesn’t work.  Regardless of the belt switch, you look fabulous.  I love the sleeves and the color of that blouse!

  5. I love the style and color of that blouse, Allie – and wow, you got a great score on those cuffs – they look very luxurious!
