My entire household has been sick since Christmas. First it was Emerson, then me, then my husband, and now Emerson and I have sniffles. I want to wipe down the whole house with Lysol and bleach; every time it's above 40 degrees I try to air out the house. Today I didn't feel like getting creative, so you see a look I will normally wear on the weekends.

Ann Taylor is having 40% off everything except new arrivals with the code NEWYEAR; last week I went shopping online during my lunch hour and got this sweater and a red wool crewneck as well – the total was less than $50 for the two! I love it when you can get Ann Taylor quality at the prices of Target!

This weekend we have a friend's daughter's Sweet Sixteen, and will probably have some friends over for a casual get together/Golden Globes watching. The cheap champagne is already chilling in the fridge! What are your weekend plans?

There are no pictures from Wednesday because my husband has decided to paint the hallway. This means the rug, the table, the artwork and everything else is in the room with the full-length mirror to the point that one cannot fully open or close the room’s door. Also the light in that room? Well the…

Today is cold. Super cold. I live in an old house from the 40s and in the kitchen and bathroom ceilings is a Cromalox heater. They are run by temperature, so they kick on to achieve the temp you set it at. There is no “off,” you just turn it to 40 degrees. Come now,…

  1. It went great! We did get snacks, in case there was a meltdown….She ended up sitting in J’s lap for a while, then my lap for a while, especially during the “scary” parts. We went to the regular version, not the 3-d, because I didn’t think she would handle the glasses all that well. Hope it goes well!

  2. Allie,

Hope you are all feeling better soon!

I noticed that sweater online and really loved it…but as soon as I saw it described as “cropped” I decided not to get it.  I don’t like the look of the cropped sweater on my stomach!  It looks great on you and not really cropped.  Any advice?  Would you call it a “cropped” sweater?

    Thanks,
    Betsy

  3. Love, love your new sweater – it looks so cozy. Hope the whole family gets 100% healthy right away!

  4. Sounds like a nice chill weekend! I am off Monday, so I have an eye appt booked. We are going to attempt to take A to see Beauty and the Beast at the theater, so wish us luck!
I am really loving those boots!

  5. Best is to use my contact form or email me at wardrobeoxygen at gmail, then I have a record of it and it and can find it and eventually get back to it. I try to answer as many and as quickly as I can but have a bit of a backlog. I hope you have gotten email responses via Disqus to a lot of the comments you have recently left, I think I have left replies to most of them recently! 🙂

  6. Allie,

Where is the best place to comment and ask you questions?

I am slowly reading through everything on your blog. Sometimes I make comments and sometimes I ask you questions. But I realize that you probably don’t go grepping through your archives every day. I also know that you are a very busy person. We are fortunate to be able to get the kind of information, free, from you, that folks pay big bucks for. So, what’s the easiest for you? Ask all questions under your most recent post?

    Thanks!
