Friday through Monday
Happy Presidents Day everyone! My company doesn't have the day off, but I took it off because I had a lot of errands I needed to accomplish before 6pm. So I will be busy today!
Friday I finally got back into the office.

When I was planning our New Year’s Eve getaway to Lake Anna, I knew the dress code would be loungewear. We planned on making all meals at the house, spending a lot of time reading, playing board games, napping, cooking, and snuggling as families on the couches watching movies and watching the ball drop at…

I guess it was inevitable. I have gone through tights season thus far without a snag, a pull, a tear. I wear them with slippery pumps, sky-high heels and walk proud, feeling that I have overcome my clumsiness and will enter spring with a perfect pair of legwear. Ha! Said the tights gods, as I…
Brown merino 3/4 sleeve v-neck sweater from Gap, beige stretch poplin trousers from Caslon, brown bead necklace from my mom’s jewelry box, tan leather thong heels from target, silver cuff. Hair is washed and conditioned, then while damp applied a bit of Sexy Straight Hair’s Shine On! mixed with Nexxus Texxtur. I then ran around…
Yes, I am at work today. Luckily most of my clients are government agencies so it has been a day of catching up on to-dos and being relaxed with the clock. So relaxed, I went to Ann Taylor on my lunch break. Didn’t find anything I wanted but got a chance to take my picture…
Love the sweater. Your hair looks great too! You have me thinking of ordering a pair of duo boots.
Alli, you are always too cute!
I have a present for you on my blog!
Looking good, Allie! Love this outfit.
Thanks, Allie. Tried them out on the snow and ice here and took them to the cobbler’s for treaded soles. Now they are perfect for winter weather!
This is great look! You look great rocking the boots over jeans look!
love the browns and pretty gold jewelry here.
Nope they don’t have the best tread on them, but I waterproofed them and they have a better sole than most of my other shoes (and I think equal to sneakers) so they have become my winter go-to boots.
Hope you are enjoying your day off, Allie. How did your duo boots do in the snow? I ask as I just got a pair of Bern in black and am a bit hesitant to walk on the snow and ice in them since they don’t have a deep profile on the soles.
Thanks for any tips!
LOVE that sweater on you!! And you are rocking those jeans. Glad to see you have been surviving the DC snow.
Oh dear! I wear my yoga pants and ribbed tanks and cardigans out to do errands. I do I do. Bad girl.
I love your blog and seeing your outfits.
