She worked for Womens Wear Daily, was an in-demand interior designer for decades, owned a textile business, was fashion muse for many and has several accessory lines in her name. Iris Apfel is the epitome of a style icon. This month, Harper’s Bazaar Magazine interviewed the fascinating and highly opinionated Apfel, and many of her…
I’m a gal who deals with chub rub (chafing between the thighs especially during hot weather); when I saw so many bloggers recently promote the Jockey Skimmies Slipshort I was curious. I receive free product in exchange for reviews on Wardrobe Oxygen and know how hard it is to be unbiased in such a situation. …
Nothing in this outfit is for sale. Nothing is currently available in stores, and most pieces are over two years old. Not only that, this is the end of summer and stores and full of booties and sweaters, not sundresses and sandals. So finding “similar” pieces is near impossible. But I’m sharing this outfit because…
Man, I can’t recall what I wore to work on Friday… Saturday night we went out for my husband’s birthday and I wore my black jersey sleepveless wrap top from Ann Taylor with my black New York & Company pants and black patent T-strap heels from Sofft. Sunday we had friends over for brunch and…
I bought this. I really like it, and am anxious to wear it. The thing is, it is white. Really, really white. Do I have to wait until Memorial Day? Or can I add strategic accessories and do it earlier? I was thinking of adding a cardigan or a jacket and a red necklace to…
If you’re desiring a white pantsuit after this week’s State of the Union you’re not the only one. I’ve received several emails and DMs requesting where to find a white pantsuit and have seen several people find Wardrobe Oxygen with search terms that include white pantsuit for women. Well my fellow women, I have you…
Peggy Bundy. When I was in elementary school, a good friend’s mom kinda dressed that way except the look was the 50s version. Very tight capris which were then called pedal pushers, dyed artificial looking red hair, too much way -out- of -the -lip- line -red-lipstick, and those awful Lucite heels called Spring-O-Laters.
As a kid, I didn’t care how people dressed, but this woman was so over the
top that I couldn’t help but wonder. Even with all of that I could have
let it go if she wasn’t so awfully mean to my friend. She really was an abusive
mom and apparently didn’t care who was watching. I guess I never got
over associating that look with that woman.
Just so I am clear, I think you look great in your wild suit and I do not, DO NOY
associate you in any way with the Peg Bundy/mean mom look.
LOL you crack me up Chris!
I have this exact suit. It was a perfect outfit when I was in Vegas! The fit is amazing and the fabric is as comfy as pajamas. It’s by far my favorite suit. The individual pieces are so versitile – as is Cabi’s way. Love it!
Oooh I bet this IS a good Vegas look!
Rock it girl! I’d probably would of chickened out before I saw these photos. By the way, the shoots since you went full time have been even better than before. Loving the back drops and the relation to the fashion. Merry Christmas!- Laurel
Thanks so much Laurel!
You look so happy in these photos! Any ideas for grey leopard/snow leopard in plus?
I couldn’t find any other than basic tops when writing this post which is why I didn’t link to similar. I don’t know why some brands think plus size women like gaudy style, why is it that snow leopard can look normal up to say size 12 and then turn into insanity? 🙁
This is really fun!
Thanks!
Your hair looks amazing in these shots.
thank you!
I just had to comment that you look great in this outfit! Just stunning! You really know how to rock the leopard! I really love that jacket, and would consider it to get back into my own “out of the box” style I used to have.
Thank you! And this jacket is a great gateway piece1
I love this outfit ! Normally I would not pair a leopard top and bottom either (and I’m a MAJOR leopard print FREAK) but this works and is tasteful NOT tacky! Really cool and I’m very much drawn to it.
LOL your avatar is appropriate! 🙂
I LOVE this look.
thank you!
After many years as a cabi shopper, next month I begin my journey as a cabi stylist. I hope you will be at Scoop! And I’m not sure if it’s true or not but having read your blog for years, my sense is that when you are letting your rocker glamour girl out you are a happier person. If that’s correct, you must be stinkin’ happy!
Oooh so excited for you Karen! And yes, things are pretty good right now!
I bought the same suit at a cabi party last month! I was wondering if you would go for it, too, when I read that you were attending the recent cabi event! Super fun, no?
So much fun!
