I didn't want to go to work this day, I just didn't feel well. As the day progressed I felt even worse. I ended up going home early, napping for 3.5 hours, getting up for two, going back to sleep and crashing for 12 hours. I took off Friday to recuperate.

I wasn't going to post these pics because I look so… unwell. But this is reality, and some days we all feel like crap but still have to go to work, get out in the world, carry on. This is proof positive why dresses ROCK! I can feel like death warmed over and in five minutes am dressed in a way that is totally appropriate for the office. Bra, undies, dress, shoes, done. And a dress like this is almost as comfortable as yoga pants and a tee shirt!

Nothing exciting, doing stuff around the house, walked to a community meeting in the evening. Gray CBGB tee shirt, camo Bermuda shorts from Old Navy, wore my Reef flip flops when I stepped out of the house. Hair is second day, brushed out. When Emerson was little, I didn’t understand why one would buy a baby cute clothes that were expensive.  I mean, it was like a month and then the garment no longer fit!  And then add to it spitup, pee, and regular washings, cute clothes weren’t worth it. Well Emerson is starting to walk, spends more…

  1. I have to say, I’ve been following your blog for a while now, and this is absolutely my favorite dress.  It’s gorgeous and looks amazing on you.

  2. This is the kind of dress I love.  Sleeves (no cardi required so no extra ironing) AND a fun print!  You don’t have to try hard to look good.  And you do look good, despite not feeling well!

  3. You would never know from this picture that you felt like crap.  I actually thing this is one of your prettier looks!  I hope you are feeling better today.
