I hesitated to write about this tan satin pantsuit because it’s on clearance and sizes are limited. But at the end of May I got this blazer and these pants from Ann Taylor and wore the pantsuit for three different occasions in June and know this is just the beginning of ways to style this…
Dinner in the city for my mom’s birthday. Restaurant says Men’s Attire: Jacket Required. This is a popular place for politicians and proposals, we as a family felt we should dress the part. Red silk surplice front shell from Ann Taylor Loft. Found it in their sale rack last January for $39.99. Black Triacetate jacket…
Today was an early morning so the pictures are meh, the makeup is meh, the outfit and makeup are pretty basic. My shoes were downstairs – I didn’t want to put them on upstairs and possibly wake my husband (poor guy was still asleep when I took this pic – you can even see Ruckus still…
I realized I haven’t done one of these posts recently. Since my summer road trip, I haven’t been as click-happy with my phone and haven’t captured as many looks but I’ll try to be better about that. I love when I see what people wear for their day-to-day, and since a lot of what I…

Well, I think I officially am sick. Good thing the hubby is out of town for some film festival so I can moan and groan alone. I spent yesterday doing laundry, but also huddling on the couch drinking tea and watching Lifetime and E. A bubble bath DID brighten my mood a bit – glad…
This is one of the best looks I’ve seen on any blog for awhile. It just jumps off the screen. Love Love Love.
Thank you Lesley!
I have a rule not to keep anything that isn’t used in a year. I wash my clothes once a month to make sure I use everything for that season once. It helps me figure out what is bad beyond repair and trash it instead of letting things linger in the back of the wardrobe. It also helps see what has minor flaws and repair the items.
I am a firm believer that everything you own should be used, that no joy comes from having a pretty thing that you never look at or wear. My paintings, prints and art are all on the walls, the china I have is the one I use everyday. I would say I am a “baroque minimalist”, as I don’t strive for the aesthetic of minimalism and I own plenty of stuff, but it all gets used and loved – loved to destruction.
I say love your Louboutin gloss to destruction.
That blouse is just the perfect set of colors for you!
You look amazing — and you are so right about using the good stuff rather than saving it.
You look great in red!
Fabulous outfit! I never would have looked twice at that blouse based on the model but it is amazing on you.
Would love to see it styled with dress pants or a jumpsuit!
Love this blouse!!
Thanks Jaymie!
