Not every occasion calls for a dress! Another look from a Sunday at the Greenbelt Farmer's Market. Birkenstocks are comfortable for walking down to the market, but easy to slip off and let my toes relax in the grass while enjoying my iced coffee. A large tote not only can carry my purchases but also holds a picnic blanket and bottle of water.
This is one of my favorite tee shirts. One day I was at work on a very slow day in December waiting for a large file to publish and I randomly searched my town's name into Amazon. I came across this shirt and knew I HAD to have it! I recommend trying this in Amazon with a name, city, etc. You'll be shocked by the things that pop up! Like most of my tee shirts I cut it up for a more feminine shape. I cut off the neck band, then I take the two shoulder seams and like them up so the shirt is lying with one sleeve on top and one underneath. I then cut this a straight line, removing the natural scoop of the shirt. This opens the neckline, gives a bit of a V in front and back. Then I try on, trim here and there, no need to be perfect. The final touch is stretch the neckline and sleeves slightly to have the edges roll up.
These sunglasses are so much fun to wear. They're HUGE, yet super lightweight. The rose-tinted mirror freaks people out and I find people will be looking at their reflection while talking to me, and will occasionally primp mid-sentence. Karl wears them sometimes and has experienced the same!

A bit ago, a reader asked me about a pair of shoes I wore in an Instagram photo (I share far more outfits over there than here so come on over and follow!) and I realized I haven’t shared bits of my closet lately, or recent purchases. This summer has been atypical thanks to this…
Dress: Maggy LondonShoes: Sofft I washed and conditioned my hair and then went downstairs to check email… an hour later my hair was dry. When my hair dries on its own sans product, it likes to part in the middle and feather out in a really un-cute way. I was short on time so I…
I believe in quality, not quantity when it comes to what you put in your closet. However, when it comes to outfit photos I’m trying to do quantity and not focus on quality. This way I can do more of these “what I wore off the blog” posts to show that you should focus on…

LOL, there needs to be a separate post with shirt trimming diagrams. I get trimming off the neckline but am confused about how you fold it and where you cut straight. Do you trim the sleeve ends and bottom of the shirt too?
I don’t trim the bottom of the shirt, just the sleeve hems. And yes, I have a Smiths tee shirt I’m holding for the time to make a tutorial of this because my description is NOT good! 🙂
I DIY my t-shirts the same way! Lately, I’ve been experimenting with cutting the neckline even wider, to do a more off-shoulder type look. I like it a lot.
