I am a fan of athleisure when it has style. With so many options out there, why stick to basic and boring sweats? When I saw Dressed in Joy athleisure, I was thrilled. Fun colors and prints, gender-neutral fits, and sizes up to XXXL, Dressed in Joy is a Black woman-owned small business by Mikaela Pabon,…
I was tempted to not post about this because I felt it may be controversial. But then I wondered WHY it would be controversial. The audience of this blog is predominately women, and predominately women who are between the ages of 18 and 50. This means the majority of you reading this are having a…
Another gross and rainy day, this time with major winds. Glad that my city boots are fake leather, keeps my feet nice and dry! Royal blue scoop-neck tee from American Apparel, coral ribbed tank from Old Navy, black stretch twoo trousers from Caslon, black city boots from Impo, silver hoops and cuff, silver and leather…

Dark orange merino scoopneck sweater from Marshall’s, brown tweedy/glen plaid/etc. trousers from Ann Taylor, black city boots from Impo, faux tortoise shell necklace from a beach boutique, gold hoops from Ralph Lauren. I usually do not buy overly trendy items. Didn’t get Uggs, no ponchos, no CK Jeans tees, or Bebe rhinestoned jeans. Nary a Louis Vuitton or faux LV purse in my closet. However when the puffed sleeve look was in a few years ago, I bought a jacket. It was just too cute. About a…
Lady, you look sooo good. The jacket looks great on you.
Clicked through and bought that t shirt!
Oh yay hope you like it!!
I do love it, wearing it today!
awesome!!
You look amazing!!! Love it.
Thanks Tiffany!
So rock-n-roll. You look fabulous!
Thank you Dee!
LOVE this look! Totally appeals to my rocker chic self. You look fantastic!
Thanks Deb!
Lovin’ the jacket on you! And, I see, you managed to replace your tee 🙂
Yes! Though honestly this one doesn’t compare. It’s stiffer, it’s cut like a classic Hanes t-shirt, and it has even more crazy of washing instructions. I’ve stretched out the neck and hems to give it more of a relaxed/vintage feel.
I really like this jacket from StellaCarakasi—usually I feel that their items are so unstructured—but this jacket looks fabulous on you! Very rocker chic! jodie

Your shoes! You’ve been sprung from Chelsea Boot prison! And rocking a really cool look.
Not completely… this was too soon and I felt it and had to change. However, this weekend I have worn very low block heels. Baby steps!
