Friday night I got home and realized I spilled on my dress, so I switched to the dress that arrived in the mail – the “Kate” dress from J. Crew in “Flame.” This is a bright orange-red that I adore. On sale and with a coupon so the dress was a cheap as Old Navy. Score! Same accessories.
Attended a circle of women in my community which was really wonderful. Met some new people, connected closer with those I already knew, had some of the BEST watermelon of the season!
Saturday… for the life of me I cannot remember Saturday. Oh yes, yoga, then lunch with my mom, then ran errands. I came home and tried out some of the camping supplies for our upcoming trip to Bonnaroo, waterproofed my Duo boots, took a nap, went out to dinner… nothing terribly exciting and no pictures.
Sunday began with errands and then yoga.

The trends that stick around the longest are the ones that are easy to recreate in cheaper fabrics and a wider range of sizes. Think about it: the skinny jean, the peasant top, oversized/boyfriend shirts and blazers, tank dresses… they can all be created larger or smaller, taller or shorter, from cashmere or acrylic, cotton…

I love me some Diane von Furstenberg. I think the woman is a total and complete badass. I recently was at a fashion-related event where I overheard two women discussing how Diane became a sell-out, how she’s too into social media, bloggers, and branding and not enough into her craft. I felt like interrupting and…
We always knew we would send our child to public schools. By chance (or us buying a “starter home” in 2000 that we still live in and adore) we moved back to the same county where my husband and I attended public school. We had mixed public school experiences, mine more positive than my husband’s,…
I know I said in the Wardrobe Oxygen Community on Facebook that I wouldn’t do a Weekend Reads this Saturday but I changed my mind. This has been an intense week thus far just with the news let alone any intensity you have felt with the holidays. I know I could use a quiet moment…
LOVE that dress with those sandals. What a fantastic color, reminds me of that long ago blood orange Mizrahi sweater at Target.
