Clothes are cheaper in Gap stores than online. This top was $29.99 in the store and then an additional 40% off that price.  This top isn't something I would normally pick up, but I saw real potential with it.  I can imagine it with white jeans in the summer, fully unbuttoned and over a dress or tank, and even with a belt at the empire waistband.  It's a really lightweight cotton that will be great when the weather gets warmer.  And it was nice to have a pricetag of $17.99!

So what is everyone's plans for the weekend?  I am going to visit my friend A tomorrow and finally meet her twin babies.  The rest of the weekend is pretty open and I look forward to sleep and time with Emerson.  Yesterday was so hectic I only saw her for about ten minutes in the morning.  Saturday mornings are our QT when my husband goes to teach and she and I play and have a good time together.  I look forward to it all week long! 🙂

  1. That is a cute top. It would look awesome with a bright pink or berry cami under it or with a yellow cardigan or green cardigan… or just about any color since navy is such a great neutral. I can see you wearing it with a pair of white shorts in the summer and some cute sandals. 🙂

  2. This weekend is the boys 9th b’day. I just got word he’s called out sick today. If he feels better then hockey and birthday celebration, if not staying in. If we do celebrate on Sunday you should bring the family.

  3. Great top – the checkerboard pattern is so cute and I love the detailing on it! I know it’s awesome that you can find some really cheap stuff on final markdowns there!
